"I think this must be the largest mall in Marbella and you can really spend the whole day here with loads of shops to choose from. There´s something for everyone - clothes for kids and babies, places to buy kids furniture and prams as well as some toy shops. Theres also stuff for the kids (and dads!) such as restaurants, bowling, cinema, amusement arcade etc. For families with babies there are baby changing facilities in all the toilets. Just outside the centre there were bouncy castles etc for the children. Just dont go on a Sunday as we did for the first time as its closed!" (KM, June 09)

"When we moved to Barcelona from London, the children were devastated to leave our flat and their friends so we promised a pink fairy bedroom to our daughter and a pirate theme for our son. Bad idea we looked everywhere and even the trusted IKEA was turned down by the kids....after months of searching we finally came across a shop in Las Glorias who offer a great variety of desks, tables, chairs, shelves and decorative items to suit all tastes. They also told us about a shop in Marbella as we have a villa down there. We have used the shop for both our homes and the service is great and the quality fantastic!" (KM, Oct 09)

"If you have a car then its worth a trip to Gibraltar for our favourite British shop! But dont be disappointed as its not on the scale of the ones back home and you might want to give them a call to see what they have in stock before trekking down there with a certain item in mind" (FO, June 09)

  • El Corte Ingles

    Recommended by Kerry Matthews

    Comments:
"Definitely not your cheapest option as this store rather prides itself on being the Spanish Harrods but the quality/service/goods etc are more like Debenhams. You can buy all the branded baby goods here but dont be surprised if you find them cheaper elsewhere. For ease though its great having everything you might need under one roof." (KM, Oct 09)

    Comments:

"My husband is Spanish so when we had our baby christened he wanted a traditional outfit. I found the shop Cayetana Baby on huesta chica and they had a really good selection of christening gowns amongst other pretty dresses. I would say that the shop was more for traditional Spanish kid´s clothes than fashionable things and its not that cheap :)" (MVH, June 2010)

"This delightful shop should be the first port of call whenever you need to buy a gift or simply want to treat yourself. There is a great range of books, both fiction and non-fiction to suit ALL ages and interests, and there is always a box of Bargain Books. A cosy corner has been set aside for a wide range of childrens books, and if help is needed in deciding which is suitable for a particular age group, owner Beverley is able to advise. In fact, take your child along to choose for her/himself. There is a wonderful variety of cards and gifts, again suitable for all ages and priced very competitively, with new stock arriving on a regular basis. With Christmas in the not too distant future, why not put this shop at the top of your list ... its easy to find and parking is easy too." (VE, Oct 2010)
