"I went for a mini break with my husband recently. The hotel is nice with friendly staff and an interesting mix of styles on the interior. The spa itself is adequate but not luxurious. However, the treatment I had in the beauty centre was wonderful. It was a full body exfoliating massage and body wrap called Ritual Sundari de estetica corporal de Neem y Triphala. The massage itseld was very relaxing and afterwards my skin felt incredibly smooth and silky." (JM, Nov 2013)

The Hostal is set in a restored building overlooking the Mediterranean from a secluded beach. The original construction of Hostal Empuries appeared in 1907, under the name of Villa Teresita, with the idea of giving lodgings to the first archaeologists who had the job of excavating and restoring the Greek and Roman remains at Empuries. There are two restaurants: one serving gourmet Mediterranean food and the other more informal. Bicycles can be rented from the reception.
"Good for a quiet weekend spa escape and also good to go with kids (although they cannot enter the spa). The buffet breakfast is great and its right on the beach so no street between the hotel and beach. Next to it are the ruins of Empuries and lots of other things close by." (BK, Nov 2013)

"I had a Geothermal massage, an oil technique with volcanic stones, which is apparently recognized for its efficiency to eliminate tensions and physical issues. It was absolutely amazing and I fell asleep on the massage bed!" (CF, Oct 2013)
