As well as providing celebration cakes and cupcakes the Benitatxell Arts Centre hosts a series of baking workshops for all ages and abilities - this makes a perfect girls birthday party.
The work shops are as follows: 4 - 6 years includes learning to roll and cut fondant and decorate ready iced cupcakes with sweets and sprinkles and fondant toppers. This helps with co-ordination, colour, creativity and interaction and is a 1 hour workshop and costs 5 euros including cakes to take home (and one to eat of course). 7 -10 years includes colouring, rolling and more detailed fondant work and using buttercream on ready baked cupcakes. then decorate in their most fancy way. This promotes creativity and co-ordination and interaction. this is a 1 1/2 hour workshop and costs 7.50 euros including cakes to take home. 7 - 12 years includes all of the above but using flavours in the buttercream on ready baked cakes. This is a 2 hour workshop and costs 10 euros including cakes to take home. 9 - 14 years includes all of the above plus baking their own vanilla cupcakes so they can see the whole process from scratch. This is a 21/2 hour workshop and costs 12.50 including cakes to take home. A childs birthday party is 15 euros per child for 3 hours and they will take a box of cakes home. This will include party food and drink and candles to blow out on the cupcakes. there will also be a break with party games.
