  • Emerald Isle Complex

    Recommended by Stella Robins

The Emerald Isle Complex is located on the La Florida urbanization on the Orihuela Costa. There is a fantastic restaurant there with a good menu (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and a kids menu for under 5 euros.

"As well as a great restaurant there is lots going on here all the time. Take your pick from bingo, live shows, courses and classes as well as a bowling alley (you can even join their league!), a swimming pool and play area. Good place for adults and kids to make friends and meet people" (SR, Dec 09)

  • Amsteleria in Quesada

    Recommended by Keeley Carwich

The Amsteleria in Quesada is definitely for mums and dads who enjoy a few beers! There is a pump on each table and you can serve yourself but pay at the end (very dangerous!!!). For the children there is a soft play area and bowling area.  They also host children’s birthday parties.  They serve Tapas in the bar downstairs and have lots of snacks and Menu del Dia on offer.

  • Laurel and Hardys

    Recommended by Keeley Carwich

As the name suggests this restaurant serves English food (which is really good quality). Staff are really friendly and there are pool tables and tvs for older kids as well as bouncy castles and climbing frames for the younger ones. You can either sit inside (in the aircon) or on the large terrace outside. In the summer months the terrace is open from 12:30 till late and food is served from 12:30 till 9:30

"Before I moved to Spain I used to holiday in Quesada on a few occasions and Laurel & Hardy’s would always be on the top of my list for a visit.  A great family restaurant and the kids love it.  It is a place where you can pop in for a drink or have a meal and stay all evening!  Well worth a visit." Living in Quesada we do have quite a bit for children to do but sometimes you like something different.  Just a 40 minute car journey away from Quesada is the Si Bar. With so much for the children to do we spent all day there.  A really good place to go with the kids or even in the evening without them.  The children’s entertainer is fantastic and managed to keep my children entertained all day which was great!  I could then sit back and relax just what life in Spain is all about!!
