"Spanish mums have relaxed when it come to their children’s diets, probably because they have in the past been famous for feeding their children so well! It has become a habit to run to school either on an empty stomach or munching on a horrific “Bollicao”. What happened to the olive oil on Grandma’s bread and the freshly squeezed orange juice? School lunches have animal protein everyday, which is not only unnecessary, but can be overkill if they are also being fed meat, fish or eggs for dinner." (CH, Feb 2011)

"I first heard about frozen yogurt being popular with all the health orientated celebs in Calafornia (for example David Beckham, Kim Kardashian) and as a yoga teacher myself I am always trying to find the healthier option for both me and my kids. The fact that it is fat fee and gluten free is of huge interest to me and a much healthier option especially if you add freshly cut fruits, a guilt free treat!!! It has pro-biotics and is high in calcium and my 5 year old son loves it. My husband and I travelled to Calafornia as frozen yogurt is huge there, we went to all the frozen yogurt hang outs and chose Tutti Frutti Frozen yogurt because its frozen yogurt is the best tasting, highest quality and with lots of flavours to choose from. Its also the biggest in the world, with over 600 stores worldwide we have opened the first in Spain". (AM, Dec 2013)

Yogalinda, Barcelonas’ second 40ºC hot yoga studio opens its door in the Port Olimpic neighbourhood. Bringing the Canadian yoga scene to Barcelona was Yogalindas’ Director, Heather Andersons dream. “The purpose was to create an eco friendly hot yoga environment, with individual informative instruction, with a positive, open, free flowing space where students as well as teachers could further enrich their yoga practice both mentally and physically.”
Hot Yoga is very similar to traditional yoga styles. The principal difference is that the postures are practised in a studio temperature of 40Cº. This creates a more cardiovascular workout with a strong focus on breathing, alignment, flexibility and strength. The hot room warms the muscles right from the beginning of the practice so you are less likely to injure yourself. In addition, your muscles are more flexible so you are able to deepen your stretch in the postures. The euphoria after a hot yoga class is what keeps you coming back for more. Losing weight also helps too! The uniqueness of this studio is that it offers several styles of yoga in a 40ºC room including hatha, vinyasa and even yogilates (yoga and pilates together). Mom and baby classes, workshops and yin yoga are also on offer without the 40ºC heat.
